About Us

Neighbors Helping Neighbors

The CSA was established in 1954 by a group of concerned citizens. Believed to be one of the first organizations of its kind, the CSA's primary purpose is to offer temporary financial assistance to New Providence residents in their time of need through our CSA caseworkers.

When a CSA caseworker works with prospective "clients," each client is assigned a number by the caseworker to assure complete anonymity for the client. Each case is acted upon promptly.

Funding for the CSA's efforts comes from individual and company donations and fundraisers such as the annual pasta dinner or basket raffle.

The CSA also works with New Providence's Boy Scouts/Cub Scouts and Faith Lutheran Church on the annual, town-wide Scouting for Food drive and also organizes a Christmas gift drive for its client families.
